Porosity characterization on FIB images
The processed images are from FIB (Focused Ion Beam) microscopy. The purpose here was to characterize porosities in a nuclear material.
Porosity segmentation on a nuclear material
The analysis was processed on a ROI extracted from the whole volume.
The characterization steps included
- aligning the volume plans,
- intensity correction,
- denoising the ROI,
- material binarization,
- hole separation,
- labelizing the holes.
Results
In addition to assinging an unique label to each hole, it is also possible to compute measures on these elements.
